HIMOM (A system of Hierarchical Monitoring Methods for assessing changes in the biological and physical state of intertidal areas) is an EU 5th Framework research project conducted by a 8 partners including research institutes, monitoring agency and a private company. The project lifetime was from March 2002 until February 2005. The methods and the results were compiled in a System of Hierarchical Monitoring Methods (HMM), which was continuously discussed and reviewed with end users from science and coastal management. This CD consists of a Book of Protocols, giving introductions to measurement techniques as well as showing examples of their application with Demonstrations of Case Studies.
